Consultation process
Consultations are time dependant. The initial consultation lasts one hour. The second consultation lasts two hours and is scheduled 2 weeks after the first consultation. Follow-up consultations are generally 30 minutes and are booked every 4 weeks.
First Appointment
Once you have requested your appointment and it has been scheduled, you will be emailed an introductory pack which includes a questionnaire, privacy and consent form and other important information. You will need to email these documents back at least 48 hours before your appointment.
Second Appointment
At the second appointment, you will be presented with your management plan. This appointment lasts two hours.
Follow-up Appointments
Your follow-up appointments from this point are entirely dependent on your presenting signs, symptoms, needs and issues or just a catch-up review.
Cancellation Policy
We require 48-hour cancellation. If you are unable to attend in person, we can arrange an online or telephone appointment. We are always able to accommodate you and work with you.

For our professional fees, please send and enquiry by email to reception@vitawell.com.au or phone 1300 110 807. Our fees reflect our education, expertise and type of service you seek. You will not be charged for short emails, treatment plan modifications, and letters to your medical specialists.

What type of help can I expect to receive?
We specialise in supporting the wellbeing of cancer patient during, before and after cancer treatments with Complementary Medicine therapies. Our services include:

How often do I need to have an appointment?
After your first consultation, you will be offered an individualised plan to support you for the rest of your journey. The plan will provide you with a calendar of appointments.
How do I order my products?
We provide a comprehensive dispensary of “practitioners only” brands. The products are carefully selected for their quality and beneficial effects. They include hypoallergenic nutritional supplements, herbal medicines, proteins powders, natural skincare, essential oils, books, CDs, and other natural products.
Prescribed supplements are provided at the end of the consultation to last to the next appointment. If you need to repeat your prescription between appointments, please contact dispensary@vitawell.com.au. Packaged items are dispatched in a timely manner around Australia and overseas. All packages are insured.
Can I make an appointment online or on the phone?
If you are unable to attend to the clinic, you are encouraged to organise an online of phone appointment. It is strongly recommended that your fist appointment is in-person; however you are too tired to attend, we will facilitate you with a call.
Am I charged for emails, letters and reports?
Emails are not chargeable; however, email consultations attract a fee. Letters to your medical specialists, GP and other allied health are not chargeable. Lengthy reports are programs are chargeable.
I live outside Brisbane and the Gold Coast. Can I still have a consultation?
Consultations are available for those residing outside Brisbane or the Gold Coast. Consultations are scheduled through reception and are held via phone/Zoom. Fees and charges are the same as for face-to-face consultations. All OrthoDynamics treatments, Bowen Technique and TBM therapies are only available in-person.
Where do I send my medical reports?
You medical reports are treated with complete confidentiality and must be emailed ahead of time to reception@vitawell.com.au. If you are unable to email your reports, please bring copies with you on the day. If you experience any difficulty in obtaining these results, please let us know during the consultation and we will endeavour to obtain your reports. Please do not send photographs of medical reports. All documentation needs to be emailed in a PDF form.
Your medical reports are scanned and stored safely in the Cloud. Paper copies are kept safely in a locked cabinet. Only the practitioners have access to these reports.
Do you connect with my Medical Specialists or my GP?
With your consent, we aim at sharing our work with your Medical Specialists. We firmly believe in patient-centred care and in mutual collaboration across all disciplines.
Can I bring somebody with me to the appointment?
Yes, you are encouraged to bring a family member or a friend to your appointment.
What is your appointment policy?
We kindly require a 48 hours’ notice to reschedule your in-person or online appointment.
Which payment methods are available?
Consultations are GST exempt; however, all dispensary products and the Metabolic Balance program incur GST. We accept credit card or debit card (Mastercard, Visa), direct deposit payments and PayPal. Payments are due at the end of the consultation if attending in person. However, for all online/telephone consultations, payments are due at least 24 hours before the appointment.
Are your monthly educational workshops and newsletter free of charge?
Yes, they are free of charge.
Which private health fund rebates are available?
Nutrition consultations are eligible for health fund rebates from some private health insurance companies. The Metabolic Balance program also benefits from a rebate. Please check with your individual insurance provider about your health cover.
Testing recommendations for patients prior to the initial consultation
Testing recommendations depend upon individual’s needs.
Sending previous test results to us prior to the initial consultation
We ask that patients to provide us with prior test results, a health history and timeline prior to their initial appointment.
Our practitioners will review and discuss any previous tests or treatments with patients during the initial consultation and provide a fresh perspective.
Are tests included in consultation fees?
No, tests are not included in consultation fees.
All testing is done through third parties; our practitioners and clinic do not benefit financially from any recommendations or referrals made. We pride ourselves on providing ethical, independent recommendations.
